St. Patrick's Day celebration at the BIS

St. Patrick's Day, a holiday named after the patron saint of Ireland, is celebrated annually on March 17 around the world. On this day, main celebrations take place on the streets of the, residents of Ireland traditionally dress up in green clothes and celebrate this day together with dances and songs.

Of course, like any special day, this holiday has its own traditions. One of the most iconic features of the holiday is considered to be a leprechaun, the keeper of treasures in Celtic myths, and a shamrock. Many believe that it was used by St. Patrick when he explained his teaching to people.

For the celebration of the holiday, information stands were placed at the British International School. The School extends my thanks to the director of School 3 Tom English for his help in organizing the celebrations. Mr. English contacted the Embassy of Ireland, which kindly provided booklets and small souvenirs for our students.

Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit! Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
