Alexey Vladimirovich Anufriev was appointed to the position of General Director of the British International School in March 2021. Alexey has played an important role in the life of the school since its foundation in 1994. Having commenced his professional career at the school as a finance team economist he later went on to hold a number of senior positions at the British International School. He was appointed to the position of Financial Director in 1998 and has also held the positions of Deputy General Director from 2003 and First Deputy General Director since 2005. In addition to his work at the British International School Alexey has also had a successful career in other organisations including a major Commercial Bank. Furthermore, in 2001, Alexey was awarded a doctorate in Economic Sciences and holds the academic title of Associate Professor.
Alexey Evsikov was appointed Deputy General Director of the British International School, Moscow, in January 2021. Alexey started his professional career at the school as a specialist in 2009. By 2010, he had already been made Executive Director. In 2013, Alexey continued his career path outside the School. Alexey has legal and management expertise acquired in many other companies, including Russian Post, the Association of Russian Banks, the Swiss Bank Representative Office in Moscow, and the Tax Revenue Centre of Moscow. In addition, Alexey has experience in running his own business, as well as undertaking scientific research and teaching at the Higher School of Economics and the Russian State University of Justice. In 2012, he attained a Candidate of Law Sciences degree, and an MBA in 2019.
Stuart Purves is an experienced primary school practitioner who was first appointed to a teaching position with the British International School in the spring of 2001 in school 4. He later moved to our school campuses in the north of the city and has worked in both schools 1 and 2 in recent years leading up to his appointment to the position of Deputy Headteacher in 2008. Stuart was a member of BIS senior management team for six years prior to his appointment as Headteacher of School 1.
Daniel Kelly joined the staff of the British International School in September 2013 and initially worked at school 9 as Assistant Headteacher before joining the senior management team at school 2 as Deputy Headteacher in the Spring of 2014. Before joining the British International School Mr. Kelly had held senior school management positions in UK schools where his achievements were formally recorded by the United Kingdom Ministry for Education.
Tom English taught in Ireland before arriving at the British International School in 2010. He has taught English literature for all year groups from Years 7 to 13 covering the British National Curriculum for KS3, IGCSE and the IB. In 2016 he was appointed Deputy head teacher in School №3 and has had roles as Key Stage 3 and 4 coordinator in the school during this time. He began his role as Acting Head teacher in School №3 in 2020.
Vladimir Gennadyevich Bragin is a graduate of the Moscow State Teacher’s University. He began his teaching career in 1981. In 2001, he joined the British International School 5 as a Mathematics teacher until his appointment as Director in 2005. Alongside, his duty as director he also teaches Algebra in the High School of the Russian Department.
Paul Trainor was a teacher, head of faculty and director of studies for 12 years in schools in the UK before joining School 7 in 2006. Following a period as a Deputy Headteacher he was appointed Headteacher in January 2008. He also teaches ICT and Business Studies at the school and has responsibility for I.T. across all BISM schools.
