On February 12, the traditional tournament among the best young chess players of Moscow "Russian Winter" took place. Our students, Alexei Safonov (Year 5, school 9) and Yusif Aliyev (Year 4, school 5), entered the top 10! We congratulate them on such an achievement.
The chess club at BIS is very popular with the students. After all, playing chess makes you think outside the box, develops stress resistance, memory and attentiveness. These skills are useful not only in tournaments, but also in life. People who play chess are better at coping with difficulties, which is a big advantage.
We have many other educational clubs at school, including mental arithmetic, programming, game creation, Chinese language and a homework club.
