During First Term, the children, together with the teachers of the exact and natural sciences, participate in the ‘Eco Autumn’ events.
This year, School 5 has prepared a FOUR SEASONS programme of activities for its students. This is a fascinating ‘journey’ through the seasons, accompanied by subject teachers, teachers of additional education, employees of museums and other cultural, educational and sports organisations.
During this ‘journey’, Years 5-11 will take part in creative, intellectual and sports competitions, and meaningful activities. They will also be able to visit museums and exhibition centres of Moscow.
The main goal of the programme is to create conditions for each child’s self-realisation.
During First Term, the children, together with the teachers of the exact and natural sciences, participate in the ‘Eco Autumn’ events. Among them:
- From 6 September to 25 October — a charity event to help an animal shelter. We are collecting food for cats and dogs, collars, leashes, beds, blankets, bandages, napkins, snacks, toys etc. Everyone can help.
- 10 September — ‘Ekokroko’, an intellectual and creative warm-up for Year 6.
- 13–17 September — ‘Class Alley’. We are taking part in a gardening programme. Each Year group can plant a tree in the schoolyard.
- 20–24 September — ‘Fort Boyard’, a game dedicated to World Tourism Day for Years 8–9.
- From 27 September to 1 October — ‘Jeopardy’, a game for Years 5–7.
- 4–8 October — ‘My Pet’ photography competition and ‘They Can Still Be Saved’ poster competition dedicated to World Animal Day.
- 11–15 October — a competition of computer presentations named ‘My favorite computer game’ for Years 6–7.
- 18–22 October — ‘Economic Quiz’ for Years 10–11.
- 25–29 October — ‘Play Like a Pro’, a chess tournament in which students compete against teachers.
The results of all competitions will be announced during the autumn holidays, and at the beginning of Second Term the winners will receive their prizes and souvenirs.
