On September 29, Years 12-13 travelled to Ryazan for the IB conference. Like our other trips, it was a memorable experience with a rich cultural programme!
Students had 3 days to explore Konstantinovo, where the legendary poet Esenin's museum is located, and try making a pastila, a traditional Russian sweet. But, of course, the main purpose of the trip was not entertainment at all. IB-conference is an event that the school organises once a year so that the students in a quiet informal atmosphere can learn about the programme, and the detailed information about their exams and could better prepare for the future entrance to universities. At the conference, the students had the opportunity to prepare a strong portfolio, practise writing a motivation letter, which is essential for applying to university and even talked to BISM graduates who are currently studying at the USA and UK universities and who shared their own tips and secrets of successful admission.
