BISM has opened again-in mellow late summer weather with the mood across the School very much one of Looking Forward in these opening days. The New Academic Year is well underway here at School 3 and it was a pleasure to see our pupils and meet our parents on the 1st September with our Opening Ceremony. This is our 27th Year as The British International School in Moscow and we warmly welcome all pupils and parents, new and returning, here at School 3.
The 1st September was about beginnings, starts and openings. The First Bell was rung at our Opening Ceremony to signify the beginning of the New Academic Year, speeches from our Headteacher, Coordinators and pupils too before our own Year 13, Maxim Ivanov led the Year 7’s into the school to begin the year. We were delighted to see so many parents, relatives, pupils (past and present) as we opened our doors for our 27th Year at School 3.
We have lots of new ideas and lots of work to do this year, many things planned and in the pipeline. And we are all part of the team, from the younger ones in year 7 through to the older ones in year 13, parents, teachers, tutors and staff as the BISM family.
Our ambitions for the year are reflected in the Full Term 1 Calendar which includes our first IB Talk-Over meetings in October and December, the launch of our Weekly Bulletin to spread the good and full news here at School 3, Head Boy and Head Girl are to be announced in the coming days and we have multiple trips in the pipeline as well as in-house events run by our very own Year 12.
The buzz around school is a mixture of anticipation and excitement, as we begin our new year.
For the support and the general level of enthusiasm for BISM amongst Parents, Pupils, and Staff, we remain, as ever, hugely grateful. We very much look forward to working with you all in a full and exciting year ahead.
