The Moscow Center for Educational Quality (MCQE) is engaged in an independent assessment of the educational achievements of schoolchildren, and also conducts national and international studies of the quality of education. The center looks at how students in different institutions cope with tests, and draws conclusions based on these results.
We would like to inform you that school №5 with the Russian programme did an excellent job with the diagnostics. The results of the school exceed the average results of other Moscow schools. Now we will tell you more.
Years 4 took tests of the Russian language and literary reading. The children showed very good results: the British International School scored 83% in the Russian language, while in Moscow this figure is only 66%. In literary reading, we scored 77% (the average result for Moscow is 60%). Years 9a (64%), 10a (64%) and 11a (73%) also received high marks in the Russian language.
Years 5 passed tests in functional literacy and English. Being a British International School, students of School №5 study English in depth with both Russian teachers and native speakers. Therefore, the results of our students, as always, are on top! School №5 surpassed the average results in Moscow by almost 2 times (in BIS- 76%, in Moscow - 41%)! In terms of functional literacy, the students scored 74% (the average result for Moscow is 56%)
We are proud of our teachers and students and congratulate them on their achievements!
