On October 4, school №3 held a Self-Governance Day where senior students took charge and conducted real lessons as teachers. Some of them even got creative with their lessons!
Katya, a Year 11 student, taught a lesson on her favourite subject - Russian Literature. She carefully prepared and created a unique atmosphere of immersive theatre for Year 8.A simple literature lesson on A.S. Pushkin's story "The Young Woman-Peasant Woman" turned into a performance and everyone took part in it. The teacher took on the role of a judge, and the children became lawyers, prosecutors and witnesses.
"A great experience! It gives a better understanding of teachers, learning how to structure time, convey information, and come up with creative ideas! After the lesson, the students thanked me for the lesson. I hope they will remember it for a long time!", says Katya, smiling.
Self-government day fosters the development of leadership skills like communication, decision-making, and group management in students. The children take responsibility for various tasks, allowing them to fulfil their potential and become more confident.
