Extracurricular activities are an important part of the educational process at BIS. We complement the curriculum with numerous extracurricular activities: from theme days to trips. After all, it is more interesting not just to read about minerals in a textbook, but to see them with your own eyes at the Mineralogical Museum, or to go with your classmates to study the Moscow River for your IB project.
Recently, our Year 10 students from School 5 enjoyed an excursion to the Lev Tolstoy State Museum. This is one of the oldest literary museums in Russia. It was founded in 1911 at the initiative of the Tolstoy Society. Its funds contain authentic things, manuscripts, portraits, photographs of the writer and his relatives. It is the world's largest collection of items associated with Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy.
