The children in Year 2 had a very exciting trip to the Space Museum!
In our topic work we have been learning about Famous People. We extended our investigation by visiting the Space Museum to learn more about Yuri Gagarin - the first human to journey into outer space when his Vostok spacecraft completed an orbit of the Earth on 12 April 1961! We also heard about the famous dogs Belka and Strelka. In the Museum we had a fantastic guide who gave us lots of interesting facts. We watched a film about space then walked around the Museum having fun observing pictures and learning about life on the Spacecraft .We even got to make a wish on the magical space rocks….it was incredible!
