Philosophy
Our Mission Statement:
“Our mission is to provide a high quality British style education, meeting the needs of all students regardless of age, ability and nationality.”
Our Aims:
We are very proud of what we achieve together in our school.
Alongside our academic provision, BISM3 provides strong pastoral support to students via our tutorial system. We understand the difficulties that new students may face starting at a new school, maybe in a new country and being a fairly small school we are able to monitor and support the needs of all students on an individual basis. We strive to build excellent relationships with our parents via regular newsletters, parents meetings and reports.
British International School 3 has been a proud International Baccalaureate (IB) World School for sixteen years and successful graduates progress each year to universities around the globe. We are fully committed to the IB’s mission statement. We deliver a curriculum designed to enable students joining us at any age to progress eventually to the IB or to move on to other international destinations when circumstances require. The language of instruction at School 3 is English but our students all study at least one, and mostly two, additional languages. Internationalism is at the centre of our approach as a part of a global community; as reflected by students of over 45 nationalities who we work with and the strength of our languages departments.
For details on the school including our academic programmes, more about the international curriculum (KS3, IGCSE and the International Baccalaureate), university destinations and information, events, news, policies, guides and more about our philosophy and mission please see our dedicated website.

Key Stage 3
At school 3 we offer a version of the English National Curriculum adapted to local and international needs. In addition to the core subjects all students study Russian. When a student joins us as an EAL student (English as an Additional Language) we can offer dedicated support in order to allow them to access the main curriculum.
School 3 is also an IB World School and following success at IGCSE level, we offer the Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in Years 12 & 13 as a means of entering Universities worldwide.
IGCSE
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) is an academically rigorous, internationally used, and specialized English language curriculum which is offered to students to prepare them for International Baccalaureate. In addition to a recognised range of options common to the British curriculum all of our students study Russian either as a first or second language.

Around the School
Alongside our academic provision, BISM3 provides strong pastoral support to students via our tutorial system. We understand the difficulties that students may face starting at a new school, maybe in a new country, and being a close-knit, and family focused, school we are able to monitor and support the needs of all our students on an individual basis.
We have a highly trained and dedicated staff who, as well as providing high quality teaching, engage fully in a wide range of additional activities with students around the school.
In addition to staff involvement we have a highly motivated body of students who support and engage with each other through groups such as the CAS programme, sports clubs and Student Council.
Our multi-purpose sports hall is used heavily and allows us to provide an excellent range of extra-curricular clubs and activities whilst also facilitating the performing arts where staff and student together produce excellent musical and dramatic productions.
